A celebrated resort. A death by drowning. And long-buried secrets that must be unearthed to prevent more murders.
May, 1900. The Baker Street team must travel to Lake Windermere, England’s most fashionable vacation spot. Their mission: to find a missing woman, the wife of an important ally in Holmes’s war with the Syndicate. Moreover, the woman’s disappearance may be linked with the abduction of Amy Thiel, Gregson’s own missing sweetheart. Gregson, worried and impatient, has come to Windermere to help. So has the rather contentious Inspector Lestrade. A prime suspect is a rogue policeman called the Burner, a villainous brute whom Flynn and Becky have antagonized, and who will kill them both if given the opportunity.
But there are more villains in Windermere, and more murders to solve. Some are in the distant past, some more recent, and some – unless Holmes and the team can prevent them – will destroy more lives in the very near future.
A fast-paced and thrilling take on a classic Sherlock who-done-it, with unexpected twists and turns, two strong, feisty heroines, and a touch of romance. Holmes takes a Holiday stays faithful to the spirit of the beloved original series, while introducing more intriguing relationship dynamics.
The second installment in a three-part ‘season finale.’
